Martin Koch - Musical Supervisor, Additional Material and Arrangements

Martin trained at the Royal College of Music and now runs a successful music production company and recording studio with Nick Gilpin, which has undertaken numerous television, album and DVD projects.

He won a Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for Billy Elliot and was Grammy-nominated for MAMMA MIA!

For over fourteen years, he was Musical Supervisor for Cameron Mackintosh working on shows such as Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, Cats, Oliver! More recently his work includes MAMMA MIA! and Billy Elliot.

Martin's orchestrations include Just So, Moby Dick, MAMMA MIA! (Tony Award nomination), Jerry Springer The Opera, Billy Elliot (Tony Award & Drama Desk Awards), Bad Girls, Desperately Seeking Susan, Kombat Opera - numerous operas for BBC TV, Paparazzi and Cattle Call, two ballets by Richard Thomas and Shoes at Sadler's Wells.

He has recorded over thirty albums including Les Misérables (original cast album and symphonic recording), Miss Saigon, Oliver!, Hey! Mr Producer, MAMMA MIA! (Grammy nomination), Jerry Springer The Opera, Billy Elliot, Bad Girls, John Barrowman - The Album and Shoes.

He has been Musical Supervisor for the BBC for the Royal Variety Performances and Sports Personality of the Year for over ten years and composed, orchestrated and supervised the music for the Commonwealth Games Glasgow 2010 handover in Delhi.

Martin was Music Supervisor for the four London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Ceremonies, and Music Director and Composer for the London 2012 Paralympic Opening Ceremony.
